Impressive Victorian era cased cormorants by renowned taxidermist James Hutchings of Aberystwyth, with background attributed to his daughter Poppy.
Posing on naturalistic rocks decorated and clad in sea shells and strands of gutweed in a glazed ebonised case.
The composition is of a high quality with both birds in sound overall condition and the glazing and case are both in tact and without loss.
This has to be one of the most rare and outstanding cases we have had the pleasure to own.
